Ikki
Kurogane is a Blazer, those gifted with magic to manifest as weapons,
but he is considered the lowest of the low at Hagun Academy. On his
very first day he meets Princess Stella Vermillion, a rank-A genius
Blazer who challenges him and he surprisingly defeats her. Together,
they fight mock battles to become the school's representatives in
Seven Star Battle Festival to become the top Blazers of the school in
Chivalry Of A Failed Knight: Complete Collection (2015).
Ikki
Kurogane is considered the worst Blazer with the lowest ranking
ability, to use his ability only once a day. His special ability,
Itto Shura, for one minute he is able to focus and release all his
strength and energy all at once. Through hard work and determination
he rises through the school ranks to prove that even the 'worst' has
a chance to become the best. Stella Vermillion is Rank-A class
Blazer who at first clashes mightily with Ikki, but after Ikki
defeats her she begins falling in love with him instead. As they
face various combats opponents and school mock battles, they become
closer and strive to break the class boundaries and discrimination
created by those in power.
This
was your typical magic school academy anime with a harem. Our hero
and heroines battles together and become the schools champions and
protectors of the weak, yet this is a very well-made variant of that
and is definitely worth your time.
The
1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on each episode pretty
impressive throughout and the style might hold it back a bit, but
this look and plays really good otherwise. The lossless DTS-HD MA
(Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo has Pro Logic-like surrounds and the
English version is a mixed bag, but the Japanese version is the way
to go; a match for the picture. Extras include Japanese Promos,
clean closing and opening animation and trailers, but a Premium
Edition that adds pictures, a book, 3 DVDs and CD has also been
issued. The artwork is extensive too.
