The Jazz Corner Swings Latin with Bob Masteller & Friends

Sound: B     Music: B

In a nice set of very long, very well played Latin Jazz works, The Jazz Corner is a location continuously forging its reputation for the best in the genre and this new CD under its name collects the kind of Jazz that put the genre on the map in films of the late 1960s onward in the new CD album The Jazz Corner Swings Latin with Bob Masteller & Friends.  Each song runs over five minutes and usually 7+:

1)     Satin Doll

2)     S’Wonderful

3)     East Of The Sun

4)     Candy

5)     The Preacher

6)     Perdido

7)     Dream

8)     Out Of Nowhere

9)     That’s All

10)  America The Beautiful

The producers and performers have great taste and there is the feel of a real love of this material, extending to the smoothly recorded PCM 2.0 16Bit/44.1kHz Stereo, which is such a pleasure to play back.  Not bad for the limitations CD has.  I wonder how this would fare as an SACD?  Either way, it is very accomplished and at www.thejazzcorner.com, you can learn more and order a copy today.
