Danu – One Night Stand (Concert)

Danu is another solid traditional Irish music band that continues to build what is a segment of the music market more popular than you might think.  One Night Stand is a program of mostly music that runs 3 hours, 15 minutes.  The music is fine if you like this type, but will seem longer if you do not.  The interview pieces are not bad, but the music is the majority of the program and it is not bad.  Some of the track titles are in Celtic.

 

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1/16 X 9 image is not bad for being shot on film, but has detail limits.  The Dolby Digital 5.1 Stereo has limited surround information, but sounds good just the same.  The box lists a PCM sound option, but it is not here.  The only extra is access to six clip sections of interview and concert work in the body of the concert.  We will count it as such since it helps clarify the band’s work.  There is supposed to be subtitles for their English, but they are not here and really not necessary.
