Merchants Of Death (Troma)

Picture: C     Sound: C     Extras: C-     Feature: C-

Clint Howard, P.J. Soles and Russ Tamblyn star in Ross Hagen’s 1995 Merchants Of Death, a film that pretends to be a thriller about kidnapping and the illegal obtaining and selling of sex organs.  Of course, it is really about making a bad, tasteless movie that is supposed to be funny.  Unfortunately, it gets off track with bad jokes and finds itself away from the subject of organ donations to the point the film could have been about anything.

The 1.33 X 1 image is soft and muddled, including poor color throughout.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 sound is too forward, a little harsh and simple stereo at best.  Extras include a bunch of trailers for other Troma DVDs and a sample from their filmmakers video program called Make Your Own Damn Movie.  After this one, you just might.
