Lara Croft – Tomb Raider (Blu-ray)

Paramount
has issued a Blu-ray version of Simon West’s film of Lara Croft – Tomb Raider (2001) after the HD-DVD edition we already
reviewed at the following link:

The
picture is as good in this edition as its counterpart, but unfortunately, the
sound mixes have the same issues as those of the HD-DVD and the DTS here is
again standard instead of the hoped for DTS 96/24 we thought the studio could
have included. The idea is to have
mirror versions in both formats and we understand that.
Extras
are also the same, so no matter which version you purchase, you’ll get pretty
much the same playback in content and performance.
