Alvin & The Chipmunks – A Chipmunk Valentine

In
Paramount’s drive to continue to offer as much Alvin & The Chipmunks on
DVD, they have issued the very mixed A
Chipmunk Valentine from the 1980s series (1984 – 1989) that I often
consider the nadir of the franchise.
Some fans will take anything with the trio, but I am not as
impressed. The shows here include:
A Chipmunk Valentine
Dr. Simon & Mr. Heart-Throb
Dear Diary
Theodore & Juliet
These are
loosely connected to the holiday at best and are amusing at best, but it is
just nothing special. The 1.33 X 1 image
in all four shows looks like VHS practically with all the aliasing errors and
the poor inconsistent color does not help matters. The Dolby Digital 2.0 is simple stereo at
best, but is flat. There are no extras.
