Garfield & Friends – Behind The Scenes (Animated)

Picture: C     Sound: C     Extras: D     Episodes: C

After several compilation volumes of animated episodes from the animated TV series, you would think Garfield & Friends – Behind The Scenes might be a fun look at the making of the animated show.  However, it is yet another compilation of shorts since I guess the numbers were getting tiresome.  That is something you get for children’s titles when they start to blur.  The episodes in this set include:

How To Drive Humans Crazy

Canned Laughter

A Vacation From His Senses

The Automated Animated Adventure

The First Annual Garfield Watchers Test

Cartoon Cat Conspiracy

For Cats Only

Mistakes Will Happen

A Tall Tale

The Multiple-Choice Cartoon

Learning Lessons

Annoying Things

It Must Be True!

T.V. Of Tomorrow

How To Be Funny

They are amusing at best, but the 1.33 X 1 image is a generation down at least with aliasing errors throughout, killing much of the humor.  Color is somewhat consistent, but for a show made from 1989 to 1994, they should look much better.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono is also flat, but is passable.  There are no extras.
