The Killers – Leaving Las Vegas (Documentary)

Picture: C+     Sound: C+     Extras: C-     Documentary: C+

It finally happened, a DVD about a band without any of their music arrived that I had never heard of and could not recognize a song of if I was on a game show.  The Killers – Leaving Las Vegas (2006) tells us of how the band came together, became successful and why they endure.  Unfortunately, despite some interesting interviewees, this could be a mockumentary if we did not know better because it has none of their original music.

That means after an hour of this, I have to take it on faith that the band is good.  I am purposely avoiding their music for a while, thinking through this show and seeing if I agree with it or not.  Let’s see how long the band lasts for that matter.  At least it is well-researched.

The 1.33 x 1 image was finished in PAL video and shows such flaws, plus much of the footage is NTSC.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 is simple stereo at best, especially since none of their hits are here.  Extras include discography, The Hardest Killers Quiz in the world ever and beyond DVD promo section.
