Arthur – Binky Goes Nuts (WGBH)

Arthur is a charming animated hit series from WGBH and PBS about a world where humans interact with animal-like humans that speak as seamlessly as their homo sapient equivalents.  Dealing with diversity in a matter of fact manner allows the show to get to more important topics than petty issues that divide people.  The four shows on this DVD include:

 

Binky Goes Nuts where Binky finds a peanut allergy can be more horrendous than he might think.

 

Breezy Listening Music has regular character Brain getting a low grade on a test, than blaming pop music from a local ice cream shop!  Is he right or is he only overreacting.

 

Arthur Weighs In finds the title character gaining weight unexpectedly.  Now, what is he going to do about it?

 

The Law Of The Jungle Gym deals with privacy issues and issues of personal spaced between the title locale and the use of digital photography.  This was a nice way to conclude this set.

 

 

The 1.33 X 1 image has good color, some aliasing problems and is clean for the most part, while the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is clear and has no surrounds.  The only extra includes DVD-ROM downloadable educational materials for the title show.
