Foyle’s War 4 (Acorn Media)

Picture: C+     Sound: B-     Extras: C+     Telefilms: C+

Michael Kitchen is very likable, but at this point, his WWII Mystery series Foyle’s War is wearing thin.  Here is what I had to say about the previous three volumes:

1 & 2

3

The technical aspects and extras are the same, though Acorn is using slender cases this time around, the biggest difference between this and the previous sets.  For the record, the telefilms this time are:

  1. Invasion
  2. Bad Blood
  3. Bleak Midwinter
  4. Casualties Of War

Many will feel like a casualty of this show at this point, so start with the early volumes if you are interested.  At least Kitchen gives his best in each telefilm.
