Legend Of The Dragon (2004/Cinema Epoch)

Some titles are so generic that they never catch on and get so overused that it all becomes a blur.  We already reviewed a DVD called Legend Of The Dragon and it was an animated series:

Not to be confused with that TV series, we now have a comedy feature from Cinema Epoch with Sammo Hung of the same title and it actually wastes his time and ours in an unfortunate tale about a major martial arts master who left his family.  Most of this is about his weak son on a road trip looking for him.  In its 90 minutes, Hung is not on screen enough and the comedy with and without him falls flat.  The result is a curio even diehards fans will have trouble with.

The letterboxed 1.78 X 1 image is weak, detail-challenged and only saved by its color enough to avoid an even poorer rating.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 is simple stereo at best and can be choppy at times in fidelity consistency.  There are no extras.
