More episodes of Jericho Of Scotland Yard have finally arrived on DVD from WGBH Boston Video the previous episodes were not bad, as this link will show:

Unfortunately, these shows starring with Robert Lindsay as the title Inspector Michael Jericho (set in the 1950s) are simply not as engaging or suspenseful.  To Murder & Create has a nuclear weapons expert getting snuffed on Valentine’s Day and The Hollow Men offers a serial killer hunting couples in London.  Though somewhat watchable, I expected more and saw less.

The letterboxed 1.78 X 1 image is softer and more color limited than expected, with a poorer performance than the previous DVD, but once again something that would have been less of a problem if this had been anamorphically enhanced.  The stylized shooting is not half bad, but they get more carried away here this time to the show’s detriment.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo has no real surrounds and plays back best in regular stereo.  There are no extras.
