Lommel is one of the worst directors of all time and the hateful, stupid,
body-mutilating, woman-hating, audience-hating, human race hating quasi-snuff
film
Borderline Cult is about a town that likes to
torture, rape and murder visitors. That
seems to include the viewing audience and despite being 2007, isn’t it funny
that most of the victims clothes look like a bad interpretation of 1970s clothes?
The anamorphically
enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is one of the worst we have seen on a new production of
any kind, especially shot on video of some kind (this can’t be HD, can it?) and
is an amazing mess on every level. The
Dolby Digital 2.0 mix is barely stereo and very badly recorded, though the
screams are the clearest aspect of the sound.
Coincidence? Extras include an
inept Lommel & company audio commentary, stills and footage dubbed “bonus”
though all of this should have been put in a landfill in Juarez where this
takes place. Can you say total garbage?
