Tribuzy – Execution Live Reunion + Y & T Live –

No fan or
expert am I of Heavy Metal, it is very much alive and well in Poland, even over
that of the U.S. and Tribuzy seems to be one of the better bands there, getting
together again for the Execution Live
Reunion concert on DVD. Why they
broke up is one story, but they have lost little getting back together in a
concert half-English, half-Polish. Then
there is Y&T, a sort of hair band that was more of a Rock success than Pop
one, though many may recognize their best record Summertime Girls from the great 1985 teen comedy Real Genius. They do a good cover, if not with the gusto
of the original hit.
Y & T Live – One Hot Night
Live - Zoetermeer
is a double set, saving more than a few extras for the second DVD. That includes outtakes, two pieces before and
one after the show, stills, meet & greet and another concert clip. Stills and interviews are all the Tribuzy
disc offers. Both releases are better
than expected, with 1.78 X 1 video (anamorphic on the Y&T release) with
detail limits, but looking fairly good, while the Dolby Digital 5.1 mixes on
both fare better than the Dolby 2.0 on each disc. Too bad there is no DTS. All in all, these separate releases are for
fans or those interested in the bands, who both make good showings.
