Can
children’s fare with more action and edge still work? If its animated, supposedly, but Bigfoot presents Meteor & The Mighty
Monster Trucks and ToddWorld – Being
An Individual both stop short from really delivering and oversimple,
effects and limited approaches do not help.
Bigfoot has CG animated talking trucks
that never convince, though it is funny what children will buy, but for how
long is the question. They are thrilled
with their power and going through life.
ToddWorld has extremely
simple child-like animation with the characters having surreal colors as they
deal with learning more about their world.
The later works a bit better than the former, but I was not impressed by
either overall, finding them quickly forgettable.
The 1.33
X 1 image on both have aliasing errors, detail problems, softness and
inconsistencies throughout. The Dolby Digital
2.0 Stereo is weak in both cases when it is not harsh. Bigfoot a monster trucking featurette,
storyboards and bonus episode of ToddWorld,
while ToddWorld has some activities
and a bonus episode of Bigfoot.
