Maggie & The Ferocious Beast – Trick Or Treat (Shout! Factory)

As a
special Halloween DVD release, Shout! Factory is releasing the children’s
animated comedy show Maggie & The
Ferocious Beast in a 12-episode single DVD release called Trick Or Treat. The four main shows pertain to the theme,
while the other eight are dubbed bonus shows.
Either way, the short shows are just fine for the very young, though I
found them forgettable.
They are
at least child friendly and young fans will be happy and amused, but as
compared to other such programs, not as impressive. Only adamant young fans will find it
rewatchable.
The 1.33
X 1 is somewhat colorful, but both the detail and depth is a problem, along
with aliasing issues throughout. The
Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is simple and cleaner, but nothing spectacular. Besides the bonus shows, there are no other
extras.
