Murder C.O.D. (1990 TV Movie/Tango DVD)

Picture: C     Sound: C+     Extras: C-     Telefilm: D

No No No No No No No No No…….

Patrick Duffy is the potential victim of a $100,000 life insurance policy a hitman has put out on him and you’ll be rooting for William Devane and his silencer-hooked handgun to end it all in the absolutely awful Murder C.O.D. (1990) that shows how dead the once-great TV movie was.  Alan Metzger (with Andrew Peter Marin’s inane teleplay) tries to start the film like Coppola’s The Conversation, then it just gets worse!

No No No No No No No No NO!!!

Very bad, maybe funny, totally to be avoided.

The 1.33 X 1 image is surprisingly soft from older analog transfers with detail issues, motion blur and aliasing issues.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 is barely stereo and passable, more like a TV recording of the time.  Extras are trailers for other Tango product, all of which is better than this.
