Roxy Hunter & The Secret Of The Shaman Movie (2007/Sony DVD)

The
unimpressive Roxy Hunter franchise goes desperate with the lame, problematic Roxy Hunter & The Secret Of The Shaman
Movie (2007) has an older, but not better title character trying to figure
out a mystery on a movie set. We already
covered what was apparently the peak of the franchise in two telefilms on DVD
at this link:

(anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1) and sounding (Dolby Digital 5.1) as flat as
the previous releases, I expected at least those qualities to improve at least
a bit, but it did not. Like the Nancy
Drew revival, the 5-year-old mentality is almost insulting and none of this is
very memorable, nor does it teach young ladies to be able-bodied enough for my
tastes. The movie aspect seems phonier than
anything and I never bought this for a minute.
The child-safe aspect is the only thing that stops this from being a
total bomb.
Extras
include some bloopers, two featurettes, 2 Music Videos (!?!) and a Hidden
Treasures feature that allows you to be a detective.
