Sex And Death 101 (Anchor Bay/Starz Blu-ray)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C- Film: C-

We have already covered Sex and Death 101 when it arrived on standard definition DVD recently and now carefully revisit the film on Blu-ray to again see if there are any differences in opinion or in technical terms. You can read a detailed review of the film here:

Unfortunately nothing has really changed, even with superior sound and picture from this Blu-ray, the film is just a mess in many respects and does not offer the perks that the writer of Heathers has in the past. Our review of the film is here:

Presented in 1080p High Definition and framed at 1.78 X 1 the picture looks fine with good detail and depth and demonstrates far more than the DVD could offer, but still has some moments of softness and detail loss, color fidelity looks consistent throughout. The PCM uncompressed 5.1 mix works, although nothing overly special it does contain a bit more presence and detail as compared to the compressed mix on the DVD, which we covered in our previous review. Extras are the same as on the DVD with no Blu-ray bonuses.
