Elmo,
Grover, Cookie Monster (stop feeding him only vegetables and fruits!!!) and
other next-generation Sesame Street
characters join newer character Abby in a fantasy adventure rightly dubbed Abby In Wonderland, now on DVD from
Genius. She and Elmo go down a rabbit
hole and experience an adventure very similar to that of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, but Muppet-style.
Other
Muppets make cameos as all the classic characters from that book, adding up to
one of the more interesting releases in this series. The only problem is that it is way too short,
so expect on 41 minutes of fun, but children will find it rewatchable.
The 1.33
X 1 image is the same as usual in this series, colorful, shot on analog video
and clean, though this disc has some aliasing errors. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is good, clean,
has no surrounds and sounds just fine.
The only extras are previews for other Sesame Street DVDs.
