As HDTV becomes permanent and things increase, you realize how long this has been around.  However, here is the action early in all of its analog video glory and that there was always an audience for something tougher and wilder like this versus boxing and outright martial arts.  This one is sure to be popular and includes its biggest star, Ken Shamrock, but there are many others.

As before, the 1.33 x 1 image is about as good as you can expect for its age, which also applies to the barely stereo Dolby Digital 2.0 sound.  I was impressed with how aggressive the shooting ands editing was to give the feel of a real competitive match, something sorely lacking in most sports broadcasts these days.  There are retrospectives on the first two and double interviews on the latter two volumes as extras.
