Chowder – Volume Two (Cartoon Network/Warner DVD)

Chowder is a half-decent animated series from Cartoon Network about a child (the title character) and his world where people love food and some food is alive and talks.  This second volume has five episodes and they are colorful and amusing.  I had never really seen the show before, but can see its appeal and the child-safe factor is a plus.  See it just to see if you’d be interested.

The 1.33 X 1 image is clean and colorful, if not always sharp and clear, though it has surreal and simple animation.  Color is a plus and is applied in interesting ways.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is also clean without being too harsh.  The only extra is artwork for the show.
