In yet another much-needed show aimed at children to
inspire them to read, learn and especially books, the series Leap Frog is effective, child-friendly
series production and Lionsgate is issuing two titles at the same time. You can get either or both Talking Word Factory and Letter Factory. The shows
talk to and not at their intended audience and make for a good series.
No, it is
not The Electric Company, but it
does seem to be aimed at a younger audience.
Leap, Lily and Tad are the main characters and they are as entertaining
as they are likable. Older children
might get bored, but this is a quality program worth the time of children
everywhere.
The 1.33
x 1 image is not bad with some good color, but some shots can be soft or with
minor aliasing errors. The Dolby Digital
2.0 Stereo is not bad for a recent recording and sometimes quiet in ways that
helps the show. Extras include learning
games on both DVDs.
