Finally catching up on releasing the hit series on

of which we have already covered on DVD.

In all caps or not, the show is still on TV despite many
fans being unhappy, so there are those who will turn to these sets to see how
good the show can play back in this format and though there are upgrades here
over the DVD sets, the improvements are nominal.
The 1080p 1.78 X 1 image are softer than expected, have
some motion blur here and there, plus have their effects digitally produced,
even if the shows were actually shot in 35mm film. Shaky camerawork can look especially silly
and though it is better than the DVDs could look, the improvements are not
spectacular and I did not expect them to be.
Though listed as having PCM 16/48 5.1 mixes as their best
mixes, the actual sound is DTS-HD Master Audio (MA) 5.1 lossless on both sets
and though they sound better than the Dolby Digital 5.1 mixes from the DVDs
also included here, they too are only so improved, though ABC/Disney has added
the motion bass code D-BOX for those who have that in their home and no
previous versions of the shows have featured that. Extras are the same as the previous DVD sets,
but the Blu-ray allows for seamless menus and SeasonPlay interactive abilities
for what that’s worth.
