It has been a while since we looked at the New Zealand gangster drama Outrageous Fortune, but with The Sopranos finished and the similarities more obvious, this show too is running out of steam.  For more on the show, try this link to our coverage of the first season:

Picture and sound quality are exactly the same, though the 1.78 X 1 frame is a little softer and has more motion blur than the earliest set.  There is also some more money in the production, but despite the consistently good performances by the cast, it is starting to wear thin.  However, the show is still appealing and you can see why it is a hit.  Extras this time include a photo gallery, outtakes and audio commentaries on select shows.

 

It is still a good show and if you miss The Sopranos, then you might want to take it on, but should start at the beginning as is the case with these shows.  Of the many similar shows, it remains one of the better ones.
