A hit comedy about the British military on the 1950s, Get Some In happened years after U.S. hits like McHale’s Navy and Gomer Pyle, the show did not have to deal with Vietnam Syndrome, yet it is only funny in a limited way and is smart enough to deal with the decline of The British Empire, yet is uneven in this Complete Fourth Season.

 

Episodes include Cards, New Room-Mate, Blackpool, Crash Exercise, Final Exams and Exam Results.  The cast is good, including Tony Selby and David Jason, but the show is uneven and not for everyone.  It can be good, but I was a little disappointed.

 

The 1.33 X 1 image is on the soft side, with aliasing errors throughout, though color is consistent.  The Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono better, but shows its age just the same.  There are no extras.
