Michael Jackson – The Trial & Triumph Of The

With
Michael Jackson gone, his career is being rehashed all over the place and many
exploiters are still going after him as a criminal, though that will not lead
to any arrests. A new DVD called The Trial & Triumph Of The King Of Pop
decides to rehash the court fiasco over his being pursued about child
molestation. He settled, guaranteeing
doubt about his innocence forever and this release sides with him and against
what it sees as a witchhunt.
Unfortunately,
it is still on the exploitive side and its arguments in Jackson’s favor are not
well-rounded, but instead a “see, he is a good guy and these people are wrong”
piece that is almost condescending in its would-be arguments. There is even actual Jackson footage, but
only the most diehard Jackson fan around would want to see this. Otherwise, skip it.
The 1.33
X 1 image is very soft throughout, looking like it was cut on analog Beta tape
and low def digital, along with poor editing and antiquated titles. The Dolby Digital 2.0 sound is barely stereo
and has plenty of location recording issues.
Extras just continue on as part of the same problematic program, but
they are separate enough to count as such.
