Little Feat – Skin It Back (1977/Eagle DTS DVD)

Long after seeing a reunion concert of Little Feat, Eagle has managed to uncover an older concert of the original bad in action back in 1977 from the German TV series Rockpalast.  But first, you can go to our coverage of the Highwire Act Live In St. Louis – 2003 DVD at this link:

Though the band sounds richer, I was not as impressed with this concert for whatever reason, but they are the original and it looks and feels like it.  Songs this time include:

The 1.33 X 1 image was taped in analog video (likely PAL) and it is not the best we have scene from the time, with ghosting, haloing and lack of definition throughout, while the DTS 5.1 is just pushing around the rather monophonic sound and both the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo and Dolby 5.1 mixes are no better.  This is just an old taping overall.  Six rehearsal tracks that sound and even look a bit better than the main program are the only extra.
