horror enthusiasts rejoice! Now 50 of
your favorite monster flicks of fame and infamy are all gathered together for
your viewing pleasure. From the silent
era up through the 1970s, this release brings together timeless standbys like Metropolis, Night of the Living Dead, Nosferatu,
and White Zombie with less
well-known films like The Attack of the
Giant Leeches, The Gorilla, and Tormented. The films feature stars like Boris Karloff,
Bela Lugosi, Jack Nicholson, Tor Johnson, Vincent Price, Lon Chaney (Senior and
Junior), Barbara Steele, and Ginger Rogers.
The
aspect ratios of the films vary, but the picture and sound quality are rather
poor across the board. Oftentimes the
films are obviously transfers of transfers, losing quality each time. To be fair though, the poor picture quality
can at times add charm to what’s already a cheesy B-movie.
Those
looking to quickly boost their collection of vintage horror have hit the
jackpot. This collection includes the
best and the worst of over fifty years of horror history and will be sure to
keep you occupied for a good long while.
