It is hard to believe, but despite the number of survivors, breast cancer is still one of the remarkably unsolved medical problems that remain underdiscussed, fatal and even more men get it than ever, so something is very wrong.  Is it chemicals in the air, other pollutants, something in our clothes, in deodorants, in food or water?  Whatever it is, it is a crisis and is not always being treated as such.  Breast Cancer – The Path To Wellness & Healing (2009) is an impressive documentary covering the subject with tons of experts and well-known names coming together to tackle the subject like never before.

Besides the medical minds gathered in unprecedented ways, names you would recognize who have something to say on the subject and are survivors including Christina Applegate, Rosanna Arquette, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Christina Ferrare, Olivia Newton-John, Jaclyn Smith, Gabrielle Union, Laura Ziskin, Stacey & Henry Winkler, Quincy Jones and many more.  This adds up to a ton of vital information on the subject and that no one is alone in suffering through this form of cancer.  This is divided into three parts and eight chapters making referencing the information that much easier.  This is so good, even those not suffering with the illness or knowing anyone who does should consider seeing this or having the set on hand.

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo are basic, simple and for a documentary/special interest title like this, just fine.  Extras include a booklet with information about what is on the 2 DVDs, while the Bonus Chapters DVD adds 15 extended sections featuring numerous answers to frequently asked questions about how to deal with everything from Chemotherapy to medicine and meditation to help anyone going through this nightmare.  As strong as any DVD release on the subject to date, this is highly recommended.
