ER - The Complete Twelfth Season (2005 – 2006/Warner DVD)

Picture: C+     Sound: C+     Extras: C     Episodes: B-

Welcome to the trauma room of drama, ER.  With Season Twelve, a new doctor and nurse manager joins the team, Dr. Clemente and Eva Spellman. Dr. Clemente is a talented doctor but when his past catches up with him, the ER team questions his stability.  The new nurse literally takes over the floor, favoring efficiency over relations and cooperation.  It's a season of changes, as new R2s Ray, Neela and Abby must deal with all the new interns, old friends and family come back, changing everything...

Anything can step through the doors of ER, crazy people, sick people, criminals, police, you name it and it's probably been there. With new people, new responsibilities head will butt and head will roll, heart are breaking (literally) and can the doctors save a life while juggling their personal lives?  In all the chaos and confusion nothing seems to ever go right or expected, but when the going gets rough, they remember who they are and why they are there, they are the doctors of ER.

One of the longest running hospital dramas, ER is not only filled with emergencies, but drama, action and even bit of romance.  What makes hospital dramas so great?  It is watching how characters act under pressure, as doctors, doctors are professionals and in an emergency room they must handle whatever comes in.  That even after being a doctor at the end of the day they still human underneath.  But not everyone is a patient....families, friends, enemies come walking through those doors and what effects one doctor or patient just somehow seems to effect the rest.  Each relationship, each life saved, each one that is lost, somehow becomes part of the binding glue the characters share, that pull them together or rips them apart.  With 6 DVDs it is a great series to watch back to back.  Extras include various outtakes and unaired scenes.
