After issuing the first three seasons in two DVD sets, Shout! Factory has decided to make Mr. Belvedere Season Four as a website exclusive, a new trend for certain DVD releases. You can read about my thoughts on the series at this link:

Well, the show did not get any better a few years later and actually lost what little energy it had as two of the children grew into being teens and seem a little bored as the show has nowhere to go. Unless you are a fan of the show form the start, then you might sense a sort of awkwardness throughout and even wonder why this was a hit to begin with. That is a mystery we may never solve, but you get all 20 half-hours form this season on 3 DVDs and that will keep fans and the curious happy.

The 1.33 X 1 image was shot on analog NTSC videotape and throughout has a harsh digital look on every show with aliasing errors pointing to what looks like second-generation digital copies. Well, the color could be worse. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono shows its age, but is still better than the image, but this sounds even weaker than the first set. There are no extras, which also weakens this set. You mean no one has anything else to say about the show? Maybe they could do a featurette about going to Pittsburgh or tape them visiting.
