Dark Rage (2008/Cinema Epoch DVD)

Picture: C-     Sound: C     Extras: D     Feature: C+

Ever wonder what a serial killer is like?  One might be closer than you think.  Ned Harris on the outside looks just like a regular blue collared worker: A hard working office man, good landlord, caring father.  But beneath it all, something has gone terribly wrong, Ned is usually polite, but if someone pushes wrong buttons he'll do more than push back, he'll kill you.  When people try and take advantage Ned, they learn Ned isn't quiet type, Ned unleashes a dark side in himself, in his diet of personal murder he dispenses his own brand of vengeance.

If you like horror, terror and psychopaths then this film is right up your alley.  The character Ned is just your regular everyday office worker, but when his customers and co-workers try to bully or take advantage of Ned, he becomes Ned the serial killer.  When his boss complains, or a lazy customer threatens to report him or when greedy co-workers try to steal Ned's savings he makes them realize the error of their ways. By the time anyone notices however... it is usually too late.

What makes a person a psychopath?  When we think of one, the image that pops into mind is some masked person in bloody clothes, but in truth, that is not the case most of the time.  Most of the time they look like normal people, they can be very charismatic and friendly even, but what is terrifying is how they can kill so easily with out any empathy when they want do so.  They give into their dark emotions, out of rage or vengeance or rules they live by or a need for sexual gratifications, they explore the more animal side of human nature.  This film takes you into the world and mind of a serial killer and shows... ~Hey, there might be one right next to you.
