When I
covered the debut season of Murphy’s Law,
I was not very happy as this link will show:

Though
this second season Series Two set
has other narrative issues of predictability too similar to most U.S. and U.K.
TV shows, the show has actually improved by being a little more about story and
characters than style. That does not
save these episodes form being more or more of what they could have been, but
star James Nesbitt and the cast seem to have better coherence together, the
shows have a little bit of a better flow this time out and it is overall a bit
more watchable. If you start with this
set over the second, you might enjoy it all more, which is rare, but applies
here. Now you can see for yourself.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image again has some motion blur and though
not as annoying this time, when you add the way the image is often manipulated
and you get the idea of the limits. The
Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is simple and good, but not great and can be slightly
harsh at times, though surrounds in the Pro Logic mode are more lively this
time out. The only extra once again is
text on star Nesbitt.
