Tracey Ullman’s State Of The Union continues it winning run on the
Showtime Network and Eagle Media has issued the 2-DVD Season 2 set for those who want to catch up with the skit comedy

So is the
new season an improvement over the previous one? Not quite, as she repeats some
characterizations in amusing ways, ditches others I wish she had not and tries
to find more obscure and derivative characters (hybrids of people in the media
you likely know) but none of it progressed in any noticeable direction except
she is good at what she does as before.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is improved over the softer image from
the first set with better detail, while we only get Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
this time and any attempt at 5.1 is wisely abandoned. Extras include a behind the scenes
featurette, a sing-a-long section, Deleted Scenes and How It Was Done segment on visual effects for three skits.
