A little
while ago, Sony issued the HBO-broadcasted documentary By The People – The Election Of Barack Obama:

This was
issued after CBS and ABC/MPI did their Obama DVD releases:

So you
would think that would be as much as the marketplace would take, but these
tittles are obviously selling better than expected, so two more companies have issued
Obama DVDs and one is directly from HBO.
The Official Inaugural Celebration from HBO claims to be the only
DVD release with the We Are One
concert and Neighborhood Ball and as
far as we can gather, that is correct, so it adds that to everything wee have
seen before. It also is in anamorphically
enhanced 1.78 X 1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 (better than the 2.0 options also
added), looking and sounding as good as any of the volumes to date.
The Mill
Creek Hope set is made up of 3 DVDs with over 800 minutes of material that goes
all the way back to the President’s Iowa Caucus Victory Speech, nomination
acceptance speech at Mile High Stadium, the debates, election night and
everything in between, along with the Inauguration, covered well if not as
extensively as the HBO set. This one is
made up offers various aspect ratios and Dolby Digital 2.0 sound that is stereo
at best. Nether have actual extras, but
are as extensive as you are going to get.
