The Good Witch's Garden (2009/Cinedigm DVD)

Cassie is getting ready bicentennial of Grey House, the biggest and most beautiful house and garden in Middleton, which she owns. Cassie is getting ready bicentennial of Grey House, the biggest and most beautiful house and garden in Middleton, which she owns. Her boyfriend is the town sheriff and the kids adore her and her garden, BUT the rest of the town isn't as accepting. When a stranger walks into town with papers claiming him as the lost heir of Grey House, the gossiping townsfolk are more than just happy to just sit back and watch Cassie lose her home. But does Cassie have one more bit of magic to save her home?

In Craig Pryce's The Good Witch's Garden (2009), Cassie's success has made her the envy of the rest of the townswomen in town, enough to believe her good fortune is not hard work, but magic. That she has somehow bewitched the town handsome sheriff and charmed the children of the town, but a con man shows up in town claiming to be a lost heir of Grey House, can Cassie prove him otherwise? Why is it whenever a minority woman is beautiful, young, talented, successful and single, others would call her a witch?

This was a very touching Hallmark film, about a woman, her garden and the family who loves her and how they come together to defeat a con man threatens to steal her home. It is a family fun movie for all ages. The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image looks pretty good, but the lossy Dolby Digital sound was underwhelming. There are no extras.
