Romeo & Juliet – A Monkey’s Tale (Animal Planet)

Planet has decided to issue on DVD a simple program of theirs (43 minutes) a
tale about two different types of warring monkey groups and what happens when
two of the opposite sex become involved.
As overly obvious as it is to reference Shakespeare, they have entitled
it Romeo & Juliet – A Monkey’s Tale
and it is both watchable and fine in showing this simple look at behavior in
primates.
This
might not be everyone’s idea of a good time, but is a basic disc with the whole
program and that is all you get.
The
letterboxed 1.78 X 1 image is soft and should have been anamorphic, but one
suspects that the source might not have been that good to begin with. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is adequate and
there are no extras.
